Approving Listings
When you navigate to the directory administration, you will see a list of listings that require your attention. Typical their status note will be automatically assigned to 'Requires Approval' or 'Requires Modification Approval'. The latter means that the listing was originally approved but the user has since edited the listing and is requesting the changes be approved.
When you click on listings that are pending approval, as an administrator you are given new options in the Save, Delete, etc toolbar. 'Approve', 'Publish' and 'Unpublish' are special options that all save the listing but automatically update the 'Status Note' field. The 'Status Note' is a short note for administrators that explain the status of the listing. In normal conditions this would be "OK. To prevent the need to change this as you approve or publish listings, when you press any special option (approve, publish or unpublish) your changes are saved and the status note is overridden to "OK" or "Unpublished".
