Adding links via list control allows you to easily create a set of links you would like on a list of pages you choose.

To put it simply: You make one list of all the links you want, then you make another list of all the pages you want those links on, then you pick a menu and all those links are on all the pages you want.

List Control

In this section you will make the 2 lists.
1. A list of links you want.
2. A list of pages you want those links to appear on.

Creating a List

Enter a name for your fist list. This should be informative so people are aware what the list is for.
For example, we will create a list of links we want on surfers paradise pages.

Enter a name:
Surfers Paradise - Links

Press enter once you enter the name to add this list. This list will appear in the Edit section - left click to edit. You will then select which pages you want links to. Begin typing the URL of a page you want to link to, helix will display a list of pages that match what you type. Left click to add a page to the list. Continue to do this until you have a list of the links you want and then save.

Use the same process to create the second list. This second list will be the pages you want the first list of links to appear on.

Enter a name:
Surfers Paradise - Pages

Menu Groups

In this section you will link the two lists you create together and have access to options for the menu you created.

Creating a Group

Enter a name for your group as you did for a list. Click on it to edit it.

Select menu to apply to:
Select which helix menu these links will appear in.

Select an appearance list (list of pages menu items should appear on):
This will be our 'Surfers Paradise - Pages' list. Select it.

Select a target list (list of pages this group links to):
This will be our 'Surfers Paradise - Links' list. Select it.

Group rank:
The order this group will appear on the pages in relation to other groups that appear on the same page.

Ignore Self
Select this to make a link not appear on the page that it links to.

Exclusive
Select this if you want the list of links to appear on all pages EXCLUDING the list of pages that you created.

Published
Select this to make the links live. Unselect to take them down.
